LED green, white and red complying with FAR light requirements with power requirement only 1.4Amp at 12/14V all three together. They provide nearly full 180° uniform light cone. These LED's are compact, robust and easily mounted in the wing end caps. If required, you can choose the economy 0.9Amp mode. Mounting on aluminium sheet at least 1/16th - 1.5mm thick with surface of 8 square inches, eg. 2"x4" heat sink. Please compare that with existing filament bulb current drain.

LED Strobe anti-collision lights
















LED anti-collision strobe light with rapid 4 flashes and a 0.5 second gap, driving up to two heads. To be mounted in the wing end caps or under transparent cover. Picture shows the strobe and position LED light on one oversized heatsink to be inset in the leading edge of the winglet, trimmed to the wing profile and overcast in a clear resin. They can be run at reduced 0.2A with a very good visibility, so that they can be used by hang-gliders and para-gliders, notoriously difficult to see when airborne.

Landing light 

Xenon HID 35W with 2" dia, focussed to12° with the light output comparable to 150W Tungsten Halogen spotlight. The light burner and mirror is hermetically sealed in glass. Below is comparison of HID 35W with 75W TH spotlight. The car is at 100ft away.

Position sensor with LED display










Contactless sensor and position indicator for trim, flaps, cowling and other mechanisms with a direct sun readable LED display. Provided is a small magnet, 4mm dia 2mm thick, which is pressed into a drilled hole of the monitored part. Displays are available with lighting one LED showing position, or as a bar display, where at 0 degree flaps the green LED is ON, at 10 and 20 degrees the yellow LED's are ON as well and at 30 and 40 degree red LED's are also on. To increase resolution of the system in intermediate position of the sensor both LED's in proximity are on. Another sensor type can be used as an input for MGL Avionics EFIS.
